HARPOCRATES took part in the Security Research Event 2025, held on 24–25 June in Warsaw. Organised by the European Commission, this annual event brought together security research experts, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange knowledge and present ongoing work supporting a more secure Europe.

During the event, HARPOCRATES showcased its approach to privacy-preserving technologies for secure data sharing and analysis, with a focus on functional encryption, hybrid homomorphic encryption, and privacy-preserving machine learning. The project was represented by Tamas Kiss from the University of Westminster and Ana Kovacevic from Zentrix Lab, who engaged with visitors and explained how these solutions can strengthen privacy and data protection across different sectors.

HARPOCRATES was among a select group of projects chosen to be visited by European Commissioner Magnus Brunner. His visit to the stand highlighted the relevance of the project’s results and underlined the importance of advancing trusted data technologies within the EU’s security and digital sovereignty strategies.

The event offered an excellent opportunity for HARPOCRATES to connect with other projects, industry representatives, and policymakers, discuss practical implementation challenges, and explore future collaborations. Participation at SRE 2025 helped increase visibility for the project’s work and demonstrated its contribution to strengthening Europe’s capacity in secure and privacy-enhancing technologies.
