HARPOCRATES Use Case Presented at Open Source Summit Europe – Confidential Computing Mini Summit

On 18 September 2023, the HARPOCRATES project was presented at the Confidential Computing Mini Summit, part of the Open Source Summit Europe held in Bilbao, Spain. The summit focused on open source solutions that enable secure computing, particularly in sensitive and regulated environments.

Nicolae Paladi, from CanaryBit, showcased the HARPOCRATES use case on secure and privacy-preserving cyber threat intelligence exchange. The presentation highlighted the project’s approach to encrypted data sharing and detection across public sector institutions, using tools based on functional encryption, homomorphic encryption, and anomaly detection models.

The session emphasized how HARPOCRATES allows organizations to collaborate on cybersecurity without exposing raw system logs or internal data, supporting early threat detection while respecting legal and privacy constraints.

By participating in this summit, HARPOCRATES engaged with the open source and confidential computing communities, contributing to ongoing discussions about secure data collaboration and practical applications of privacy-preserving technologies.

More about the summit is available on the Open Source Summit Europe website.
